Yongxing County, Hunan Province has been hit by heavy rainstorms

From 7:00 p.m. yesterday (30 p.m.) to 3 a.m. this morning, Yongxing County in Hunan Province experienced heavy rains, and in Berlin, Dongkou and Yushu, the rainfall exceeded 110 mm. The rainfall in the town of Berlin was 116 mm. The rainfall at the entrance and the banyan trees also reached 114 mm and 113 mm, respectively, causing large areas of crops such as rice fields and flue-cured tobacco to be affected.

It is understood that the heavy rainfall caused a total of 9 townships in the mountains of Berlin, Yushu, Dongkou, Scaraba and the eastern part of the county to be affected. The collapse of houses, damage to the channels, and the occurrence of crop damage have caused no casualties. At present, Yongxing County is organizing personnel to rush to the affected townships for disaster relief.
