The government of Zhejiang Province has reissued the “Regulations for the Administration of Commodity Barcodes in Zhejiang Province”, which encourages commodity producers, sellers and service providers to use bar codes in the production, sales, transportation, warehousing and logistics unit management; encourages commodity producers, Sellers use bar codes on products that are pre-packaged for export.

The departments of quality and technology supervision, food and drug supervision and management, and industry and commerce should use commodity barcodes to strengthen supervision and management of product quality, and gradually implement product quality responsibility tracking and tracing for the above 11 types of prepackaged products.

The Zhejiang Provincial Government pointed out that the distribution company may not collect fees such as store fees, shelves fees, and information processing fees from the supplier in the name of trademark bar codes, which hinders the promotion of the use of bar codes.
