Seven people died in an explosion accident at a fireworks factory in Yichun, Jiangxi Province

The Yichun City Government Information Office in Jiangxi Province issued a news report on the afternoon of the 18th that an explosion accident occurred on the 17th at the close-mouthed workshop of the Longfa Fireworks Factory in Cihua Town, Yuanzhou District, causing a total of 7 deaths and 1 injury.

According to briefings, the accident occurred at about 16:00 on the 17th. On the spot, one person was found dead and two were injured. In the course of further handling the accident and treating the wounded, another six were killed. As of 12:00 on the 18th, the scene of the accident was completely cleared. The injured were being treated at Changsha Xiangya Hospital. The current vital signs are normal and there is no danger of life.

After the accident, the leaders of Jiangxi Province and Yichun City attached great importance and asked the Yuanzhou District Party Committee and District Government to fully rescue the wounded, find out the cause of the accident, and do a good job in the aftermath. The emergency plan for accident handling was immediately initiated in Yuanzhou District, and the relevant leaders of the city and district quickly rushed to the scene of the accident and organized the aftermath handling.

It is reported that Longfa Fireworks Factory is a private company with complete licenses. At present, the cause of the accident is under further investigation.
