[ China Instrument Network Instrument Development ] Recently, the "13th Five-Year" National Key Research and Development Program "Earth Observation and Navigation" special "Infrared emission spectrum space radiation reference load technology" project kick-off meeting was held at the Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

At present, the use of satellites for climate change research needs to identify temperature changes of less than 1K per 100 years, which involves the establishment of satellite infrared radiation temperature measurement benchmarks. At present, the measurement basis of remote sensing temperature measurement of meteorological satellites in China has not been established. The project of “infrared emission spectrum space radiation reference load technology†will focus on breaking through the core common technology of space blackbody radiation source to realize the space remote calibration load scaler. The effective traceability of the value has effectively promoted the quantitative level of infrared remote sensing load in China.
As the key project of the “13th Five-Year†National Key R&D Program “Earth Observation and Navigationâ€, the main research content of “Infrared emission spectrum space radiation reference load technology†project is to carry out high-precision interferometric infrared hyperspectral ground observation reference load. Technical research, breakthrough high-precision infrared calibration source, infrared hyperspectral wide-band high-sensitivity interference detection, high-stability interferometric modulation, flutter suppression, spectrum and radiation calibration and other key technologies, the development of infrared ultra-high-spectrum radiation reference load principle prototype , complete the accuracy verification, etc.
The project was approved in May 2018 and its implementation time is 4 years. It is divided into hyperspectral infrared reference load technology, space infrared radiation reference source development and traceability technology, infrared hyperspectral reference load data preprocessing and correction model and infrared reference. Four topics such as load space application technology.
Among them, China Institute of Metrology is responsible for the project “Study on the development of space infrared radiation reference source and traceability technologyâ€. This topic focuses on the high-precision, traceable source to the international unit system of the infrared emission spectrum, and develops a large-caliber space infrared radiation reference blackbody source calibration system covering a temperature range of 250 K-330 K. Infrared hyperspectral bright temperature reference value transfer method research, establish a high-precision spatial reference calibration system traceable to international units.
At the project kick-off meeting, the project leader and researcher of the Shanghai Institute of Technology, Ding Lei, introduced the implementation plan of the project “Infrared emission spectrum space radiation reference load technologyâ€.
After the completion of the project, the remote sensing radiation calibration will be standardized from the mechanism to ensure that all direct access data or active output data can be traced back to the international basic unit SI to provide core technology and establish autonomous space in China. The absolute radiometric calibration reference system and the construction of a space-based integrated remote sensing network covering the whole country have great scientific and political significance for China's climate, land and resources environment monitoring and forecasting.
