Tea is one of the favorite beverages in China, but the manganese content of tea produced in different regions is very different. This is inextricably linked to the pH of the soil. The investigation of manganese content in tea leaves and soil pH in 13 tea gardens in China's major tea producing areas explored the following aspects: (1) relationship between tea manganese content and leaf age; (2) tea manganese content and soil pH and extractable manganese Relationship; (3) Relationship between soil pH and extractable manganese. There was a significant negative correlation between the manganese content of tea leaves at the same leaf age and the extractable manganese content of 0.02 mol/L CaCh in soil.

There was a significant positive correlation between manganese content in tea leaves and 0.02 mol/L CaC1 in soil and extractable manganese. Using soil NaCl 0.02 mo LCaC1, the amount of extractable manganese can predict the manganese content of the tea. The manganese extractable manganese LCaC in 0.02 mo soil can be used as the available manganese in the tea garden soil.
